What we collect
We don’t ask you to create an account, and we don’t run a newsletter or comments at the moment. The information involved in a visit is limited to:
- Your ready check answers. The 30-second checklist on our home page saves your ticks in your own browser (local storage) so they’re still there next time. They are never sent to us.
- Server logs. Our web host, Hostinger, keeps standard technical logs (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) to keep the site secure and running.
- Messages you send us. If you contact us, we use your email address and message only to reply.
Third-party services
- Hostinger hosts the site and may use caching and a content delivery network to load pages faster.
- Google Fonts serves our typefaces, so your browser connects to Google’s servers, which receive your IP address.
- Retailers and affiliate networks (such as Amazon Associates, and networks like Impact, Awin or CJ if we join them) handle purchases you make through our links.
If we add analytics or other services in the future, we’ll list them here and update the date at the top of this page.
Your choices
You can clear your ready check answers at any time by clearing your browser’s site data. Depending on where you live (for example, California or the EU), you may have the right to ask what information we hold about you and to have it deleted. Send us a request through the contact page and we’ll respond within 30 days.
Children
This site is meant for adults planning for their households. It isn’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
